Sustainable SX 2024: Leading the Way Towards a Better World
The largest sustainable event in Southeast Asia, the SX Sustainability Expo 2024, is back for its 5th consecutive year. Taking place at the prestigious Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, this event brings together a diverse range of stakeholders to create a better world through sustainable development. With 10 action-packed zones filled with cutting-edge innovations and technologies, the expo aims to educate and inspire people of all ages and backgrounds.
Organized through a collaboration of five leading sustainable development organizations, including Fraser’s Property (Thailand) Limited, PTT Public Company Limited, SCG, ThaiBev Limited, and Thai Union Group, the SX 2024 event is spearheaded by Ms. Tanachanun Thananan, the event director. Ms. Thananan expressed that the Sustainability Expo 2024 is embracing a hybrid format this year, even amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, by presenting a Business-to-Consumer-to-Business (B2C2B) approach. This approach focuses on placing consumers at the center of operations to drive sustainability, connecting businesses with consumers and vice versa. It serves as a platform for collaboration in sustainability that links all sectors at the regional level, presenting knowledge, ideas, trends, innovations, and technologies to drive change.
With over 600 global speakers and experts, as well as a network of sustainable businesses from over 270 leading Thai and international companies, SX 2024 aims to provide a diverse range of knowledge and concepts. The event will showcase examples and methods for adapting to the challenges of the world today, including technologies and innovations that create a balanced world. This year, the event has been extended to 10 days from 8, offering more innovations and real-world sustainable knowledge in every aspect.
The event will focus on activities that encourage people to change their behaviors, rise up to rebuild societies, and save the planet. With a global focus, SX 2024 will feature 13 international organizations from countries such as Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand showcasing innovations. In addition, the REPARTMENT STORE activity will serve as a shopping and sharing hub, supporting sustainable products and second-hand donations. The Better Living zone will promote reducing greenhouse gas emissions, while the SX Food Festival will be the largest sustainable food event of the year.
Under the theme “Back to The Future,” this year’s event aims to envision a sustainable future with healthy and environmentally friendly food. It will connect with the overall SX event, emphasizing clean energy, low-sugar foods, and more. The event will feature 18 renowned celebrity chefs and creators who have developed menus that promote balance for both the planet and consumers. The event aims to energize the global movement towards sustainable eating and saving the planet.
In addition to supporting the country’s sustainability policies and international organizations, SX 2024 aims to attract 500,000 attendees this year. Ms. Thananan expressed her excitement about the event, stating that SX Sustainability Expo 2024 will be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center for 10 days.
