Singer and songwriter Manaswin “Tik Shiro” Nuntasane, 63, was involved in a tragic accident in Bangkok’s Sai Mai district early Thursday morning. The incident occurred when Tik Shiro’s van collided with a motorcycle carrying three siblings, resulting in the death of one sibling and serious injuries to another.

The police were alerted to the accident on a bridge on Sukhaphiban 5 Road, above Thepharak Road, at around 4 am. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the body of 28-year-old Thianporn Siwapornpitak. Another sibling, 21-year-old Chakkapak Siwapornpitak, was found on the ground below the bridge and was rushed to Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, their sister Jinnipa Siwapornpitak emerged from the accident unharmed.

According to Jinnipa, the siblings were on the motorcycle when she accidentally dropped a water bottle. When her brother stopped to pick it up, Tik Shiro’s van collided with them, causing Chakkapak to be thrown off the bridge. Tik Shiro, the driver of the van, expressed his apologies to the victims’ family and cooperated with the authorities at the scene of the accident.

Following the accident, Tik Shiro was taken to the Khan Na Yao station for questioning and underwent a blood alcohol test.
