So, the Social Development Office has come out with some measures to tackle the spread of covid-19 in preschool development centres in Bangkok. The big boss, SDO director Kanjana Phupipatthanaphon, stressed the importance of sticking to DMHT measures – that’s distancing (keeping 1-2 metres between folks), mask-wearing, hand washing, and temperature checks. Gotta make sure the kiddos, volunteers, and parents are safe and sound as the new school term kicks off.

The district offices in charge of keeping an eye on preschool centres were given the lowdown on following covid-19 prevention and control measures. This included screening the little ones, teachers, and other staff every morning before they step foot inside, slapping on masks, checking temperatures, and using alcohol-based hand sanitizers. If a kid started showing symptoms of a respiratory illness like a headache, fever, cough, runny nose, trouble breathing, or a sore throat, parents were told to whisk them away for treatment and keep them away from the healthy ones.

Now, if a child happens to be feeling under the weather or catches covid-19, they should get themselves treated at a healthcare spot. If there’s a bunch of five or more cases popping up, the school health nurse or the local public health service centre needs to be called in to suss out the situation and get things under control. Gotta keep everyone safe and sound, right?
