In a remote forest in Muang district, Kanchanaburi, the body of a missing DJ, who had disappeared four days earlier, was discovered on Sunday morning. The victim, identified as Waraphong Khunsrijaturong, aged 33, was found with his hands tied and two bullet wounds in his temple. Police suspect a possible romantic conflict could be at the heart of this heinous crime.
Waraphong’s body was found decaying in the forest by police and rescue workers, who had to navigate through difficult terrain to reach the scene. A villager, who had seen the body three days prior but was too scared to approach it, eventually led authorities to the gruesome discovery. The victim’s family positively identified the body, noting that he was wearing the same clothes he had on before his disappearance.
The deceased DJ, known as DJ Taytay, was last seen in CCTV footage working at a woman’s birthday party before his abduction. Two suspects, Thanadet and Wikool, were apprehended for allegedly capturing Waraphong in a white pickup truck. However, they denied any involvement in the crime. Police are now on the lookout for a third suspect who drove a black car to the house of the other two men before the abduction. The black car was later found in a different district, with its dash camera recording a trip to the forest where the body was eventually discovered. Waraphong’s family, devastated by the cruel murder, hopes that the authorities will leave no stone unturned in finding the culprits.
