A sales dude from a cannabis shop in Pattaya spilled the beans about the heavy demand from teens and the fat profits they were making. The police swooped in and busted the joint, confiscating 110 disposable vape gadgets and 216 packs of imported tobacco worth a cool 60,000 baht. The suspect, who spilled the beans on the whole operation, confessed that they were raking in profits three to five times higher than what they shelled out for the products.

The raid went down at the Dr. Weed shop on Pattaya Beach Road, orchestrated by the local police and the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB). The shop was apparently using their cannabis gig as a cover to peddle illegal tobacco and vaping gear to clueless tourists and youngsters. The stash was cleverly stashed away on the premises, but the cops were not fooled and found the goods during their search.

Sukanya Hongsaphan, a 32-year-old sales clerk from Maha Sarakham, spilled the beans that she had only been on the job for a week, pulling in a measly 14,000 baht a month. She confessed to pushing the e-cigarettes because the teens couldn’t get enough, and the profits were too good to pass up. She got slapped with charges for selling tobacco without the proper paperwork and failing to show a permit. Now it’s off to Pattaya police for the next steps in the legal dance.
