Bangkok recently concluded its Sustainability Expo, which will continue until 2030, to promote awareness and sustainable living. The event, organized by Thai Beverage Plc and partners, aims to drive the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and develop new sustainability models. The CEO of Thai Beverage emphasized the importance of sustainability for future generations and encouraged collaboration between the business sector and society. He also highlighted the role of the younger generation in promoting sustainable practices.

The United Nations has declared a Decade of Action from 2020 to 2030 to urge all stakeholders to work towards achieving the SDGs by 2030. The Sustainability Expo in Bangkok aligns with this initiative and will continue to play a crucial role in raising awareness and fostering sustainable living until at least 2030. The goal is for everyone to become a “sustainability shaper” and contribute to a better future for all.

This year’s expo attracted over 740,000 visitors both offline and online, surpassing the initial target of 500,000 visitors. The Market Place and Food Festival sections generated revenue of 17.09 million baht and 23.7 million baht, respectively. In response to the ongoing flood in the northern region, the expo organized a fundraising concert and raised 4.8 million baht to support the victims. Over the past five years, the expo has welcomed over 1.1 million visitors and raised a total of 106 million baht for participating communities.

The Sustainability Expo serves as a platform for showcasing innovative ideas and solutions for sustainable living. It emphasizes the importance of individual actions in creating a positive impact on the environment and society. By engaging with the expo, attendees can gain inspiration and insights on how to lead a more sustainable lifestyle. The upcoming edition of the expo is scheduled to take place from Sept 26 to Oct 5 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

Overall, the Sustainability Expo in Bangkok is a testament to the commitment of individuals, businesses, and communities to work together towards a more sustainable future. Through collective efforts and a focus on sustainability, we can create a better world for present and future generations.
