The Prime Minister led the ceremony to offer royal Kathin robes, marking the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s 12th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on August 12, 2567. The ceremony took place at 8:25 p.m. on August 12, 2567, with the Prime Minister presiding over the offering of the royal Kathin robes and the royal Kathin robe offering ceremony to the Phra Phan Pi Luang in honor of the Queen’s milestone birthday. Representatives from the Parliament, Judiciary, Constitutional Organizations, Privy Council, Cabinet members, spouses, senior officials, military, police, civilians, and the general public participated in the ceremony with utmost respect at the Grand Stage of the Royal Plaza.
The government spokesperson revealed that as the Prime Minister ascended the Grand Stage, he, along with representatives from various organizations, paid homage to the image of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit by placing gold and silver flowers. The Prime Minister then offered candles and joss sticks, followed by the royal Kathin robe offering ceremony to the Phra Phan Pi Luang. He humbly expressed his gratitude and respect, stating, “May I be a dust particle under the feet of the Lord Buddha, paying homage and showing gratitude on this auspicious occasion.”
