Green Productivity Fair by SME D Bank: Special 3% Interest Rate for Thai SMEs

SME D Bank recently organized a “Green Productivity Fair” aimed at boosting funding towards the green industry, pushing entrepreneurs to access credit through SME Green Productivity at a low interest rate of just 3% per year, fixed for the first 3 years with a repayment period of up to 10 years. The event, held for the first time on August 20th at the SME D Bank headquarters, was led by Mr. Pichit Mitravong, Managing Director of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand (SME D Bank).

This initiative stems from the release of the “SME Green Productivity Credit” project by the Kickoff Bank on August 8th, 67. This credit program, under the Public Service Account (PSA) policy, aims to support SME owners in upgrading their businesses to be environmentally friendly, enhancing productivity towards the green industry, and fostering sustainable growth. SME D Bank is taking steps to expand the impact of this project by organizing the “Green Productivity Fair,” which aims to provide funding for the green industry.

Empowering SMEs through Access to Knowledge and Capital

The Green Productivity Fair is designed to provide convenience for SME owners and members of various partner organizations nationwide to access knowledge and capital related to the “SME Green Productivity Credit” project swiftly and easily. With over 50 planned events covering all regions of the country by the end of the year, each fair will include financial activities to connect participants with funding sources, highlighting the attractive 3% fixed interest rate for the first 3 years, with a maximum loan amount of up to 10 million baht and a repayment period of up to 10 years.

Moreover, SMEs can benefit from a 12-month principal repayment waiver, regardless of whether they have collateral to pledge. Those using the Business Security (BOS) program can secure loans of up to 10 million baht, with the first 4 years of guarantee fees waived. These financial activities are complemented by development sessions focusing on essential topics for business operations, supporting access to technology and innovation to enhance productivity and transition to the green industry smoothly.

Enhancing Business Sustainability through ERP Systems

One of the key highlights of the Green Productivity Fair is a seminar on “Unlocking the Secret Formula to Sustainable Business with ERP Systems,” emphasizing crucial tools to elevate business operations, improve resource efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and provide special access to the BEECY ERP system worth over 25,000 baht (limited availability). Attendees can also seek consultation on accessing funding and express their interest in applying for the “SME Green Productivity Credit” program immediately.

The goal is to support over 1,500 SME owners in accessing capital and increasing productivity, ultimately creating more than 24,000 job opportunities and circulating over 68.7 billion baht within the economy. Additionally, this initiative aims to address structural challenges in the industrial sector, supporting the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in SMEs by approximately 345,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year.

Through collaborative efforts with 11 initial partner organizations, including the Department of Industrial Promotion, Small Industry Credit Insurance Company, Industrial Estates Authority of Thailand, Federation of Thai Industries, Thai Chamber of Commerce, Thai Tourist Industry Association, Thai SME Association, Office of Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion, National Metal and Materials Technology Center, National Productivity Institute, and the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization, the project is set to make a significant impact on the SME sector.
