The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in 31 provinces across Thailand. The department predicts that there will be an increase in rainfall and heavy downpours in some areas of the northern, northeastern, and eastern regions. This weather pattern is due to a strong southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand, with the southwest monsoon trough passing through the upper northern region and Laos, entering a low-pressure area over the upper part of Vietnam.

Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious of the dangers of heavy rainfall and accumulated rain, which could lead to flash floods and landslides, especially in hilly areas near waterways and low-lying areas.

In terms of wind waves in the upper Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand, there will be moderate winds with waves reaching 1-2 meters high. Areas experiencing thunderstorms will have waves higher than 2 meters. Therefore, boat operators are urged to avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.
